The Chi Ling Tiger system is representative of
the southern forms of Martial Arts tracing its roots to Burma and
the methods of the ancient system of Banda Silat. The Chi Ling Tiger will
develop students to acquire overall power, hand stregth, strength and endurance
as well as condition the bones, tendons, and muscles.
The Tiger is the most
external of styles of Chi-Lin. Tiger is often one of the first animals
taught to students. Tiger emphasizes circular motion, strong tiger
palm techniques, and explosize combative energy. Within the Chi Ling Tiger
system there are many sets including Drunken sets and those reminiscent of
Shaolin-like movement. In the Chi Ling Family, Tiger Claws are used
by striking with the palm then grabbing or tearing if need be.
