     A Special three day training has been scheduled to take place at Rathnapura for the Senior instructors of our association. This training is organized to share the knowledge gained by our team, who recently went for training in China. The training will be on the ten international Wushu events.

     Master Sunil Jayatissa has been named as the national Wushu Couch. He has been unanimously nominated by a committee headed by the honorable sports minister Johnston Fernando, at the Sports Ministry.       

     Sri Lanka Wushu Instructors Association was Formed after a reunion all the local martial art veterans. This was held at the National Library Conference hall.

     The Seventh Zhengzhou China International Shaolin wushu Festival. China Wushu Association and Henan Provincial Sports Bureau, and undertook by the People' Government of Zhengzhou city,the Seventh Zhengzhou China International Shaolin Wushu Festival will be held from Sep.1st to Sep.5th.

     A team from our association accompanied by our chief instructor master Sunil Jayatissa, is scheduled to go for further training in China. Member from this team a expected to take part in The Seventh Zhengzhou China International Shaolin wushu Festival.

     A Blood donation campaign organized by the Sri Lanka Black Dragon Chinese Martial Arts Association was held at our headquarters in Kruvita.

30/10/2000 

     All island Wushu Tournament, organized by The Sri Lanka Wushu Union. The event was held  at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
